             Motion Filters

As you’ve learned in previous chapters, Motion Filters are pre-defined
motion effects/behaviors that you can apply to the individual layers and
captions in a slide. These filters specifically determine how a layer: first
appears on your slide (such as how an object Fades In), what it does during
the slide, and what happens to it at the end of the slide.

             To Apply a Motion Filter

                1. In Slide Options. Select a layer in the Layers List, and click on the
                    Filters tab.

                2. In the Motion Filters pane, select a Fly In, Normal and Fly Out
                    filter for your layer.

             The Motion Filters Window

To help get a better look at how filters will impact your layers, try using the
Motion Filters Window. Just click the Browse button located the right
             side of each combo box.
At the top of the window, use the Fly In, Normal and Fly Out tabs to toggle
between the different movement stages. To the left of the Preview, you’ll
find all of the available effects. As you click on an effect, you’ll get a real-
time preview of what the filter will look like when applied to your layer.
