There are several parts to the Effects tab that you should become more
familiar with:
1. Keyframe Previews: These will show you the current, active
preview for the keyframe you are applying changes to, as well as
the next or previous keyframe on your slide.
2. Keyframe Timeline: This is the heart of the keyframing interface,
and controls when each of your keyframes will appear within your
slide.
3. Keyframe Selector Ribbon: A keyframe identifying tool, this blue
line visually shows you where you are making changes within
your slide.
4. Keyframe Indicators: These are the different ways to identify
which keyframe is currently selected for editing.
5. Effects Values: These are the options that you configure on a
selected keyframe to "make something happen" at that point in
your slide.
6. Keyframe Toolbar: Here you have quick access to commonly
used keyframe and preview tools.
