642 20. Creating Video Output

So before you start working with 4K, let’s take a look at some basic items to
        consider.

        4K Video Tips:
            1. Importing and Publishing 4K video is NOT recommend if you’re
using a laptop, older, or an otherwise underpowered computer.
            2. When importing 4K clips, trim your video clips in dedicated video
editing software before adding them to your shows.

ProShow is not a video editor. The built-in video trimmer is an
excellent tool for fine-tuning, but with 4K, you should definitely
do the “heavy lifting” elsewhere. If you only need 10 seconds of
your footage, don’t import a 2-minute long 4K clip and rely on the
built-in video trimmer. Instead, use a dedicated video application,
then simply give ProShow a 10 second clip.

            3. Consider your audience. Will they be able to view your show in
4K? If not, publishing to1080p will still give you excellent quality
               HD video.
            4. When building your show, avoid using complex FX. Effects that
feature multiple layers, extensive use of video, or complex
transitions can overwhelm the processing power of many
average, and even above average computers. Keep in mind, with
4K, you’re working with a LOT of data.
            5. Make shorter shows. Remember, 4K video files are BIG. Consider
the following sample rendering times for the exact same show
rendered at 1080p HD, vs 4K.

                          1080p vs 4K Render times
                  	          	 Show Length Render Time

                   1080p HD 5 minutes 10 minutes
