216 8. Layers
Often, finding the right filter will simply be a matter of trying different
options to see what you like the most. To make this process a little easier,
consider using the Layer Filter window.
To open the Layer Filter window, in the Layer Filter pane, click the Browse
button.
On the left side of the window, you’ll see all of the built in presets. As you
click each item, the preview will update to show you how the Layer Filter
will affect your image.
Beneath the preview, you can adjust the Strength of the filter. You can also
toggle the preview window between Showing Filtered and Showing
Original, and compare the changes as you make your selection. When you
find the look you like the best, press the Apply button.
Layer Filters can be used on their own, or you can start with a Filter, and
add further customization using the other Adjustment and Motion tools.
