With a color selected, the Variations palette will display 24 slight variations
of the current color, with the selected color in the center of the palette. As
you click different swatches, the Preview will update in real time, helping
you find the color that works best.
The second dynamic option is the Compliments palette. This palette
option is a little different from the others as it shows you two sets of color
swatches: Compliments and Similar.
The Compliments section gives you three rows of colors. A direct
complimentary color will appear in the middle of each row, with two lighter
options to the left, and two darker shades to the right.
In the Similar section, you’ll find two rows of analogous colors. These are
colors that are slightly shifted from your selected color; again, with lighter
shades to the left, and darker options to the right.
