136 6. The Wizard

Selecting multiple slides at the same time, gives you the option to apply a
        custom effect in two ways:

            • You can apply the same custom effect to each of the selected
               slides.

               Or…

            • You can choose a custom effect that uses a multiple layers.

To Remove a Custom Effect From the Wizard
            1. In the content area, select a slide that has been customized, and
click the FX Remove Effect icon.

        When to Use Custom Effects

It may seem counter-intuitive to have a manual feature for an automatic
process, but being able to single out slides is actually quite practical.

        Consider some of these uses:

            • Title Slides –Title Slides can really set the tone for your show. If
you already know that a specific look works best, customize that
one slide, and let the Wizard take care of the rest of the effects.
            • Video Clips – If you’re adding video to the wizard, you’ll most
likely find that you don’t want anything too fancy happening
while the video is playing. Try applying a custom effect that uses
               little to no motion.

            • Multi-Layer Effects – The Wizard can’t tell what your photos look
like. All it knows is ‘there are objects that need to go into empty
placeholders’. If certain photos should be grouped together,
select those slides and choose a custom, multi-layer effect.
